Back in 1999 Jackie and Mike Lewis began their search for daycare for their only child, Drake Lewis. Jackie had strong reservations about putting Drake into daycare but heard someone in the neighborhood was looking for their first client for an at home daycare. Insert Tracey’s Home Day Care. From their first meeting, Rick & Tracey Klauck (Ashley’s parents) felt like family to Mike & Jackie. At the meeting, Jackie realized that Rick worked with her sister in law; Pam Tinaglia (Matt’s mom). It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. One that saw Ashley and Drake basically grow up as siblings. Throughout their childhoods, Ashley & Matt's paths actually crossed a few times, with pictures to prove it! Fast forward 22 years and Matt & Ashley came across each other on the most romantic dating app on the market: Hinge. Matt had kept close tabs on Ashley throughout life from noticing Christmas cards on Drakes fridge to Ashley’s Instagram posts. Ashley had kept zero tabs on Matt. Eager and optimistic, Matt messaged Ashley a simple opener: “Omg Ashley no way! How have you been?” Ashley matched with Matt but replied “Omg hey! Who are you again?” Luckily for Matt, after some convincing from her mom, Ashley hesitantly accepted the first date and the rest is history!
